90th Anniversary Luncheon
Milestones: On the Road to Justice

THANK YOU TO THE BAY AREA LEGAL COMMUNITY!

The Society's annual benefit luncheon on June 26th raised a record-setting amount of financial support for our work providing free legal services to working poor families. The event brought together a more than 850 members of the Bay Area's legal, corporate, and public interest communities, as well as members of the judiciary, to mark the Society's 90th year of service. A program highlight was the presentation of the 2006 Mathew O. Tobriner Public Service Award to the Honorable Ronald M. George, Chief Justice of the California Supreme Court. Justice George was recognized for his long commitment to ensuring equal access to justice for those least able to obtain representation. The board and staff extend their deep appreciation to the following firms, individuals, guests, and sponsors who played an essential role in raising critical funding for our programs and made the luncheon a thought-provoking and moving event.
