Discrimination / Harassment
There are federal, state and local laws that prohibit employers from harassing or treating workers unjustly because of race, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and pregnancy. Those laws also make it illegal for employers to “retaliate” against employees for making a workplace discrimination or harassment complaint.
Check these fact sheets and resources for information about your rights and steps you can take to protect them. If you need further information or assistance, contact the Workers’ Rights Clinic.
